My Art Meditations - New & Notable on iTunes!

Posted on Jul 10th, 2007 by Kelly : Artist Kelly
Just a quick update on my video podcasts -- they were chosen and added to the New and Notable section of Spirituality on iTunes last week. I feel very fortunate that iTunes has chosen to feature my one minute meditations, especially since I've only created two so far! I feel very passionate about these meditations and feel that they can help calm mind and body in very little time. I have been creating mandalas for more than five years now, and feel that these videos, a form of moving art, are a natural extension of the work I was already doing. To find out more, see my earlier post Mandala Meditations Video Podcasts, or you may view the meditations on iTunes by clicking here.

Mandala Meditations Video Podcasts

Posted on Jul 2nd, 2007 by Kelly : Artist Kelly
I've begun to release some of my mandala meditations as video podcasts through iTunes. These are mandala animations set to music with no verbal guidance. My intent behind these one minute meditations is to provide an alternative means of meditating where time is not an issue. After all, we all have at least one spare minute a day! My podcasts are free of charge and can be taken with you wherever you go (with your iPod). To view the podcasts, click here. If you subscribe to the podcast, my newest meditations will download automatically, depending upon the settings you select in iTunes. Enjoy!

Fire the Grid - July 17, 2007

Posted on Jul 2nd, 2007 by Kelly : Artist Kelly
For those who haven't yet heard, Fire the Grid is a one-hour meditation that will take place Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at 11:11 Greenwich Mean Time. For one hour, it is hoped that millions of people will sit and pray or meditate with the intention of healing the Earth and reconnecting with Source Energy. I think we all share hopes and dreams of creating a better Earth for ourselves and our children. An Earth that is cared for rather than polluted. An Earth where the peoples of the world are at peace with each other. An Earth where poverty and hunger are eradicated. In the hope of bringing forth these changes, one hour of meditation is not too much to ask. The Fire the Grid idea was conceived by Canadian Shelley Yates with assistance from her guides. Her compelling story may be read at www.firethegrid.org or viewed as a series of YouTube videos, the first of which is found here: Shelley Yates, Part One. Before July 17, visit the Fire the Grid web site to make sure you have the appropriate time to meditate for your time zone.

Divinely Inspired Artist

Posted on Feb 26th, 2007 by Kelly : Artist Kelly
Last week I received the latest disc from The Spiritual Cinema Circle. It has a wonderful short documentary about a woman named Alma Rumball. Ms. Rumball was born early in the 1900s and about mid-way through her life, she experienced a vision of Christ. As a result of this vision, she quit her job and began to create drawings. The drawings are fabulous and fascinating, and I would love to see them close-up. They were almost fractal-like — a combination of fractal and psychedelic 60s artwork. She did not claim authorship of the drawings. Instead, she said that "The Hand" created them — a clear example of pure psychic automatism. The documentary revealed that she was aware of guides visiting her and directing her creations. Many times, Ms. Rumball was not familiar with the meanings of the objects that appeared in the drawings. Frequently, the drawings were also accompanied by text which spoke on a variety of subjects including reincarnation and Atlantis. I would recommend the film simply for the viewers to get a chance to see the examples of her artwork. To date, I've only found one place on the Internet that shows a couple examples of her artwork. They can be seen here: DSC Gallery of Canadian Drawing Masters.
